01 Egypt Textile: A 5,000-Year Journey

Egypt Textile Industry

Egypt's textile history is even older than the pyramids. Archaeological evidence shows that as early as 4000 BC, ancient Egyptians had already developed large-scale textile production, using flax fibers to weave fine and high-quality fabrics.

Today, Egypt has one of the most complete textile industry chains in Africa. In the Suez Canal Economic Zone, Qantara West Industrial Zone, and China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, factories backed by Chinese and Turkish investment are being put into operation at a rapid pace, while synthetic fiber and textile production capacity continues to expand.

However, one structural weakness remains: equipment for fabric processing and finishing is often outdated. A high proportion of greige fabrics are exported, while the output of higher-value-added finished fabrics remains relatively limited. Egyptian factories do not lack production capacity. What they need is the finishing process that turns greige fabric into fabrics with a better hand feel.

02 A Real Machine at the Egypt Exhibition

Egypt has been an overseas market that Jiangsu Huayi Machinery has cultivated for many years, backed by decades of experience in exporting textile machinery. In 2026, we are making the journey and bringing a real machine to the exhibition, meeting customers in Egypt with our equipment on site!

The operating condition of a sueding machine, the hand feel created by fabric surface grinding, and the structural details of the complete machine cannot be fully conveyed through brochures or pictures. Despite the high transportation costs, changing shipping schedules, and complex customs clearance procedures, we have chosen to bring a real machine to the exhibition, allowing Egyptian customers to see the equipment in operation and experience Jiangsu Huayi Machinery's equipment at close range.
